Pansand Paradise Island Resort Koh Bulon Lae Reviews
Pansand Paradise Island Resort Koh Bulon Lae
Room Types and Room Rates
Relaxing atmosphere, excellent food....don't forget your books at home...
We spent a few nice days at Pansand, even though five days was a bit too long. We would stay not more than three days, because there is not much to do. Young people should be aware, that night life does not (yet) exist on Ko Bulon Lae. If you are looking for discos and bars, better visit Phuket or Pattaya. Most people went to sleep at 10pm already. Staff allowed us to take our own whiskey bottle to the restaurant after dinner and to stay there as long as we wanted (even after every one left).
Food was just excellent (there is only one restaurant) and prices were really ok.
About the staff: Sometime it took a bit long until we got our food and drinks but they were always kindly and tried to do their best (do not forget: the resort is closed during monsoon season, so people working there are not educated waiters and have other jobs to do as well).
At low tide the beach before the resort is a bit rocky. We recommend to go swimming close to the muslim school (which is not even a five minute walk away). Unfortunately
snorkeling is not an option anymore. Corals have been destroyed so you see just a few fish. We recommend chartering a long tail boat for a day (THB 1700) to go snorkeling and visit "Ko Bulon Mai Pai".
Do not try to surround the island by yourself (it is impossible), but visit the small chao lae village and have a drink there (nice atmosphere).
Rooms were not big, but clean and with enough place to store our luggage. Do not forget to use mosquito spray while staying outside in the evening. There are a lot of them!
We had a very nice stay in Pansand lodge!
Even it's a bit too pricy for what you get, I felt in love with this place from the moment we arrived.
The rooms are clean but not luxurious, but the views and the island are so beautiful that you only see your room at night.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull and the food is delicious. The beach in front of the resort is one of the best on the island with some good corral in front, just swim out in between the tides, far enough and you will see nice corral and fish. We had a bungalow just in front of the sea but there are newer and better bungalows with garden views.
This resort has that hard to find combination of decent, reasonable accomodation in a "wow" location. Our bungalow was feet from the ocean and was clean with crisp linen sheets. Open the door to the blue Adaman sea! Beaches on Bulone Lae are not busy, and we had our own private piece of sand that we made "first tracks" in every morning. The resort has wonderful staff and food and high speed internet - what more could you ask for? If you are looking for a quiet place to get away from it all - you cannot miss this. Great Thai massage on the beach as well.
