During high season you can let your creative juices flow at Lipe Resort, where a professional batik artist can help you make your own souvenir from Thailand.
In the last few years places offering Thai massage have popped up everywhere, especially on the path from the village to Pattaya beach and on Pattaya beach itself. All places offer similar deals on all kinds of massages (Thai, Oil, Foot, ...), but some places are better located than others.
If you are desperate for some action you can usually play beach volley at one of these places: At Barracuda, Near Peace & Love bar, at Porn Resort and at Andaman Resort.
If reading is your thing, we have a large selection of books (in several languages). Stop by our shop and have a look.
Thailand's Koh Lipe island is naturally small and suitably discrete, and while you'll find many meandering holiday makers along the popular thoroughfare, Walking Street, you shouldn't expect Fifth Avenue or Oxford Street.
Development is carefully managed across the region, and preserves the irresistible charm of the island. Despite this, Koh Lipe still offers visitors some excellent shopping opportunities. Expect to meet a small selection of artisans selling handmade jewellery and artwork, which make popular gifts and souvenirs. There's a number of retail outlets selling snack foods, clothes and watersport equipment. Prices are reasonable, but naturally more expensive than the mainland due to the fact that - you guessed it - it's a remote island. Coincidentally, this is the same reason there are no ATMs on Koh Lipe. The local Chao Ley people are running several businesses on the island, and we recommend that you support them wherever possible.
