Koh Lipe has specific entry points for foreign travelers. Most visitors arrive by boat from either the mainland (e.g., Pak Bara) or from nearby Malaysia (e.g., Langkawi). Immigration checks occur at these points.
Visa Requirements
Visitors from 93 countries will now be able to enjoy VISA-free entry to Thailand for a visit of up to 60 days, according to the newly approved implementation. This is applicable to both business and tourism visits and is valid from July 15, 2024, onwards.
Customs Declaration
Upon arrival, visitors may be required to declare any goods exceeding allowed limits, such as cash or certain items (like restricted pharmaceuticals). Customs officers may conduct checks, so it’s advisable to be aware of regulations.
